Minutes from EITS teleconference on 2007-04-11

Notes

• Possible MARS deployment Feb 08
• MARS test node *may* be ready in October 07
• Next teleconference sometime in July - Erika will contact Duane about details
• Erika is still on schedule to arrive around 9/7/07 and her thesis defense is the week of July 18th so everyone wish her luck !!
• Issues to work out:
  • EITS instrument will be shipped out here before Erika arrives 9/7 
  • Where will the EITS be stored - need 3'x3'x6' footprint for main assembly and anchor can be stored separately ?
• Lee will be gone to Gulf of Mexico from Aug. 25 through end October, but will have email access and can travel to MBARI if needed for EITS testing.
• Lee is working out frame rate issues with the AXIS video folks and will get a few sample files when this is fixed.
• Lee suggest that we could run some simulated test betwee Florida and MBARI during their tank test. We would need to work out network access details to get past firewalls and potentially degrade video quality to get reasonable data throughput, but is possible.
• Anxillary data to be provided at TBD later time. We decided it wasn't that important at this time.
• AVED still working out issues with saliency but made some progress this week and will roll in new version to AVED UI for Erika to test when she arrives.
• July and August Lee and Erika have very busy schedules so there isn't a good window of opportunity for  Brian Schlining or Danelle Cline to visit Florida.
